Principal Richard Chambers
 BEd, MTLn, DTeach(Higher), DEdLead, CEdMan, TTC
    Richard has been the principal of a range of schools in the South Island prior to joining Manning Intermediate School in 2006: Tokoiti (Milton), Casa Nova (Oamaru), Longford Intermediate (Gore) and Newfield (Invercargill). He has taught students from year 3 - 8, and has a committment to on-going personal and school professional learning, completing a Masters of Teaching and Learning in 2010.

Current secretary of the South West Christchuch Principal's Cluster and Canterbury Intermediate Schools' representative on the Ministry of Education Property Reference Group. Richard has been actively involved in a range of education and community groups in Southland, Otago and Canterbury.

Deputy Principal
Nicola Church
 BEd, DEdLead, DTeach (Higher), DHearing Impaired and Deaf

    Nicola has various teaching and leadership experience in intermediate schools in Christchurch and in Intermational schools.  Before being the Deputy Principal at Manning, she was a lecturer in the College of Education at University of Canterbury.

Board of Trustees
    Our Board of Trustees is elected on an eighteen month rotational basis. The Board consists of up to five parent representatives, a staff representative and the Principal.

The Board of Trustees set the direction of the school and monitors progress toward school goals and targets, and Ministry of Education requirements.

Current Trustees are: Sarah Garriock (Chairperson), Janene Peake (Parent Representative), Norma Merrick (Parent Representative), Stephanie Pole (Staff Representative) and Richard Chambers (Principal)

School Council
  One student from each class is elected each year to serve on the school council. The coucil makes a range of decisions and recommendations including; fundraising, student safety; new resources; fun activities and commission student art works.
