The focus of the English programme is for all students is to achieve the highest possible standard of reading and writing literacy. The reading programme regularly achieves very high gains in comprehension levels for students, when compared to their attainment on entry to the school..
The school English programme makes extensive use of our library. The library is well resourced with all books being focussed on the interests of year 7 and 8 students.
Additional programmes are in place to support students with remedial or extension needs, some of these programmes occur within the class, while others will see students working outside of their normal class.
