Compulsory Home Learning:

1. This Home Learning programme expects each student to read at home every night.  They will keep a record of their reading and their thoughts and opinions in the Home Reading Booklet.
2. Every student will be asked to complete basic facts activities which will be organised and given out by the classroom teacher. 
3. Every student will completed 2 of the Home Learning Challenges a term.

Optional Home Learning Awards: 

These awards offer students an opportunity to participate in learning at home which is fun, motivating, gives a sense of community,  and will develop a range of skills in a number of different contexts all decided by the students themselves. 

The challenges are organised under the headings of our school values:

 Persistence      Independence         Pride           Excellence         Honesty/Respect

This Awards programme moves away from the traditional way homework has been given out.  It allows for students to make decisions and to make a real difference in their own lives as well as in the lives of others.

The programme will encourage commitment and perseverance in areas that students are passionate about.
